Samco Sport is pleased to report that Team Samco Driver Dmitrij Sribnyj took the win at Quick60 2023 by Hill Climb Monsters at Mallory Park in his Scoobyclinic BRZ.

“Taking the win in Outlaw Class competing in QUICK60 Sprint by HILLCLIMB MONSTERS at Mallory Park Circuit!

That was definitely one the events to highlight this season and I am very happy to be able to achieve excellent result by progressing through elimination shootouts to the finals and winning against the very fast and well known 550hp/845kg Spoox Racing Development Peugeot 205. There were an impressive entry of 80 drivers from various disciplines, with the majority being from Time Attack, Sprint and Hill Climb background.“

Day started with 2 practice runs, where I had to concentrate on the track layout and remember every turn and work out the best entry angle in to each corner, I would say that Mallory Circuit is quite fluent with wide high speed corner section, tricky chicane and the tight hairpin which can be nicely executed with the correct entry speed.

In afternoon with weather still being unpredictable we were set in to groups divided by classes, I was in Outlaw class and we all had only 1 run attempt to be within top 60% in each class to progress in to the following shootout.
With each run times were becoming shorter and tension grown until the final run where it would be all or nothing. Game on, green light and here I went, 60ft at 1.62 sec launch, then passing each section of the track accurate with full determination to set a better time. My run was after Darren Spooner attempt, so the result would be known right away. And yes, what a time, almost a second faster than mighty 205 and 5th fastest overal of the day.

Well done to Darren and his team for trying hard, surely it will be more challenges in the future!
