We were lucky enough to attend the May Day Madness meeting at Castle Combe Circuit on Bank Holiday Monday.
Samco Sport is the proud sponsor of the CCRC Saloon Car Championship. With a hugely varied grid and some changeable weather conditions, the racing promised to provide some excitement to what was already shaping up to be a fantastic day of racing (as usually is the case at Castle Combe).
Qualifying saw Gary Prebble take Pole overall with a 1.10.7 in his Seat Leon.
Class B Pole was Chris Southcott in his 205 Gti with a time of 1.12.7
Class C was lead by James Keepin in his MG ZR 160 with a time of 1.17.5
Closing out the grid were the class D cars, lead by Michael Good in his Corsa with a time of 1.18.6
With the weather closing in, the dry race quickly turned into a wet one.
Gary Prebble took the Class A and Overall Win in his Seat Leon.
Harrison Chamberlain took the Class B Win in the Renault Megane.
James Keepin took Class C in his MG ZR.
Michael Good took Class D in his Vauxhall Corsa.
Samco Sport is proud to support the CCRC Saloon Car Championship for another year. We wish the teams and drivers all the best this season.
